Celebrating 200 Years 1824 - 2024
Lee's Chapel United Methodist Women nurture one another in community and support local, U.S., and international projects to improve the lives of women, children, and youth through their prayers, volunteer and advocacy efforts, and financial gifts. Our local unit is very active. It has monthly general meetings (some online and some in person) and conducts most of its hands-on work through two "circles" that meet monthly, with different scheduling options to suit the lifestyles of the members:
Golden Treasures, a group for older adults, meets at 11:30 AM on the first Tuesday of each month. Meetings usually involve time for fellowship, a covered dish lunch, and a program presented by a speaker or entertainers. Usually the meetings are held in the church fellowship hall, but there are field trips and restaurant meetings also.
Gathering for Sunday School begins each week at 9:45 with light refreshments and coffee. Sunday School begins at 10 AM. Currently, there are 2 adult classes.
Children's Church is held every Sunday following Children's Time for children ages 3 through 3rd grade. A nursery is also available for infants and toddlers.
